AWANEO ANNUAL REPORT 2025

The 2025 financial year has been a pivotal period of consolidation and strategic positioning for Awaneo Management & Consulting Pty Ltd.

While the broader economic landscape has continued to present both challenges and opportunities, our focus this year has been on building the foundations that will drive sustained growth, innovation, and impact in the years ahead.

Throughout 2025, Awaneo has continued to invest in strengthening our core capabilities. We deepened relationships with key clients while onboarding several new clients, broadened our project portfolio, and refined internal processes to ensure greater operational efficiency. This disciplined approach has allowed us to stabilise our operations and set a clear, focused pathway toward future expansion.

A key highlight of the year has been the positive strides made by our non-profit offering, Izimfunda NPC, which will be covered in more detail in this annual report.

New service offerings aligned with emerging client needs, particularly in sustainability, have also been developed. These areas represent exciting opportunities for long-term growth and align with our mission to deliver value that supports community, innovation, and positive organisational change.

Looking ahead, 2026 will be a year of opportunity.

With stronger foundations, a clear strategic direction, a competent and energised team supported by exceptional Shareholders, Awaneo is well placed to leverage new partnerships, expand its market reach, and continue delivering outstanding results for clients.

Our focus remains on building a resilient organisation that balances purpose-driven impact with commercial success. On behalf of the Board and the leadership team, I extend my gratitude to our staff, clients, and partners for their ongoing support and commitment.

Together, we are shaping a sustainable future for the Awaneo Group; one which will always be defined by integrity, impact, and adding enduring value.

HIGHLIGHTS & MILESTONES

Izimfunda 2025 Project Highlights

It has been a remarkable year of growth and achievement for Izimfunda NPC. Since launching in August 2024, we have steadily expanded our work to improve access to education, sports facilities, and meaningful opportunities for talented individuals.

We continue to strengthen our B-BBEE compliance capabilities
while remaining focused on upskilling, unlocking opportunities,
and creating pathways to economic participation for athletes, coaches and community-based sports initiatives.

We take an active, value-adding role in every project we support, guided by potential, dedication, and impact.

We are proud to highlight some of the athletes and programmes
that have defined Izimfunda’s mission this year.

Simphiwe Ngwenya

Simphiwe came onto our radar earlier this year and has quickly become a powerful example of what belief and opportunity can unlock. Raised in Westridge, KwaZulu-Natal, he discovered tennis in challenging circumstances, yet his determination reflects Roger Federer’s words: “Everything is possible. You just have to believe.”

Jaydon Brooker

Jaydon Brooker has been described as a once in a generation talent in South African field hockey.

Born in Kimberley in 2005, Jaydon made waves at both youth and senior levels.

He captained the Jeppe High School first XI and led Southern Gauteng’s school team,
earning selection for the South Africa U18 and U21 national squads.

Thandanani Zuma

Thandanani Zuma is an exceptional young hockey player who has consistently excelled through the South African age-group system, representing the national U16 and U17 squads. His recent selection for the South Africa U17 team earned him an invitation to compete in the prestigious Dato Mirnawan Cup in Malaysia.

Pablo Clark Racing

PCR DEVCO NPC launched their Motorsport Development Program in October 2024, guided by a clear vision: "To be a leading force in developing a highly qualified and diverse talent pool that drives the future of SA motorsport, ensuring a dynamic and sustainable industry by creating opportunities for education, skill development, and career advancement."

Umthelela Trust

The Umthelela Education Trust is dedicated to removing barriers and unlocking potential for young South Africans. By partnering with businesses, educators, and communities, the Trust provides financial support, mentorship, and skills development to deserving students.

To date, it has funded 112 district-level athletes by covering their fees and secured four high school scholarships worth approximately R3 million, giving learners access to quality education and greater opportunities. True to its name, Umthelela is creating a lasting impact by empowering youth to shape brighter futures.

Sabi Sand Trail Run

The Sabi Sand Trail Run is a community conservation initiative designed to unite local residents, conservation partners, and businesses through sport and wellness. This year it took place on 30 August 2025 in Huntington Village near the Sabi Sand Nature Reserve and Kruger National Park.

IDEAS IN ACTION

Project Podium Logo_1.png

On 31 October and 1 November 2025, Project Podium hosted its inaugural Talent Identification and Development (TID) event at the Luka Sports Facility in Rustenburg. The event, in partnership with Royal Bafokeng Sports and in collaboration with North West University’s Centre for Health in Human Performance, marked an important milestone in our mission to identify, develop, and support the next generation of South African sporting talent.

Both days were blessed with ideal weather conditions, allowing most scheduled testing activities to take place smoothly. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and enthusiasm as athletes gave their best in each performance test, proudly showcasing their talent and potential.

Programme Structure

The program was anchored in three core pillars:

Testing & Athlete Assessment

Programme Implementation & Performance Optimisation

Coaches Education
& Support

CHHP-SS will implement comprehensive physiological testing to track key performance indicators, including body composition, flexibility, explosive power, strength, speed, and endurance.

CHHP-SS will develop and deliver structured training programmes aligned with scientific data, ensuring optimal athlete development across strength, conditioning, agility, and endurance components.

CHHP-SS will deliver comprehensive education sessions for coaches, enhancing their ability to apply evidence-based training methodologies. Hands-on education in training techniques will be facilitated to ensure practical application.

THE NEXT CHAPTER
OF CHANGE

ESG IMPACT REPORTING

In 2026, Awaneo is gearing up to accelerate our ESG-driven impact,
building on our unique role at the intersection of corporate B-BBEE investment, community upliftment, and sport. Our work already champions the core pillars of ESG, advancing meaningful social development through athlete support and grassroots access, strengthening governance through transparent and compliant B-BBEE delivery, and contributing to a more sustainable sporting ecosystem nationwide.

In the year ahead, we’re excited to take this even further by helping shape a new standard for ESG reporting in sport, giving our partners richer insight into the real-world change their investment makes possible.
We are working with developers on designing and bringing to life a dynamic ESG benchmark that will provide powerful, ongoing analytics
that enable partners to track progress, unlock new opportunities,
and drive high-impact and purpose-led investment across
South Africa’s sporting landscape.

LOOKING TOWARDS 2026

As we look ahead to 2026, Awaneo enters the new year with strong momentum and a reinforced commitment to meaningful impact. With a steadily growing client and partner portfolio, and a clearly defined vision for sustainable, community-focused development, we are well positioned to expand our innovative solutions across both business sectors and the regions we currently serve. The year ahead – conditions permitting – promises growth, new opportunities, and deeper collaboration with new and established partners alike, enabling us to deliver lasting value for the clients and communities we support.
