Awaneo, a company built around making meaningful change through sport and corporate partnerships. On the origins of Awaneo: it all began by identifying the opportunity to connect corporates’ annual B-BBEE obligations to the untapped potential & ongoing requirements within the local sports sector.
The name ‘Awaneo’ itself carries significance – meaning "Our Gift" – symbolizing the collective time and effort we are committed to provide to uplift our fellow South Africans, using sport as the primary vehicle.
Our focus on programmes which cover the spectrum of grassroots to elite sporting development, transformation, community engagement, and providing targeted, well-managed solutions for overlooked and/or under-resourced programmes within the sports industry.

Milestone highlights since 2020 include
• Surviving during the pandemic constraints;
• Launching impactful programmes with partners such as the Blue Bulls Rugby Union, Cricket South Africa, Rowing South Africa and the Sunshine Tour;
• Leading projects such as the rehabilitation of Roodeplaat Dam for Rowing SA, rehabilitating sports facilities into working community hubs, athlete wellness programmes and sourcing bursary funding for student athletes.
